First-Gen Keynote
Tamam is a nationally recognized first-gen speaker. His message and stories have inspired thousands of students across hundreds of college/university campuses. A first gen himself, Tamam is a product of an inner-city public school. He grew up in a low-income government public housing with a food stamp as their main source of income. His mother never went to school and his father has only a fourth grade level of education. But his triumph over seemingly impossible odds provides him the catalyst to wanting more from life that leads him to earning a Master's degree from Harvard and becoming one of the sought-after first gen speaker in the country, touching the lives of thousands with his powerful message of resilience and determination.

...That reflects how much you care for our students...Thank you for being more than a one-and-done speaker. I am sure other speakers care, but you demonstrate this by a willingness to keep in contact with and even mentor them. I have never even heard of another speaker doing so...
